2016 Giving Challenge

September 20, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - September 21, 2016 @ 12:00 pm

Support Sertoma Kids during the 2016 Giving Challenge and help us help children like Stella with speech and language needs!

The 2016 Giving Challenge is just around the corner, and Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota and our Sertoma Kids program need your help. When you give to Sertoma Kids during the Giving Challenge from noon-noon on Tuesday, September 20, and Wednesday, September 21, you will help ensure that local children suffering from speech and language disabilities receive the therapy and assistance they need in order to lead richer, fuller lives. Best of all, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County will double or even triple your donation, with certain restrictions, thus allowing you to maximize your support for Sertoma Kids.

Here’s how it works:

  • Login to the Sertoma Kids’ Giving Challenge site between noon on Tuesday, September 20, and noon on Wednesday, September 21, and make a donation.
  • If you donated to Sertoma Kids during last year’s Giving Challenge, the Community Foundation will DOUBLE the amount of your donation up to $100. For example, your $100 donation = $200 after the match!
  • If you are a new donor to Sertoma Kids during this year’s Giving Challenge, the Community Foundation will TRIPLE the amount of your donation up to $100. In other words, your $100 donation = $300 after the match!

Please mark your calendar and join us for this important fundraising event for Sertoma Kids and area children who need your support.

About Sertoma Kids

Sertoma Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit division of the Sertoma Club of Sarasota that features an outpatient speech clinic located at the Euclid Branch of the Sarasota YMCA. Through generous funding provided by the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota, the program offers quality therapy at an affordable cost for children of all ages, regardless of their family’s income level and ability to pay. Therapy sessions range from 30 to 45 minutes in length and are conducted by speech language pathologists who are master’s degree trained pediatric experts with certification by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Speech sessions are either in a small group setting  or one-on-one, depending on the needs of the individual child. Parent participation at home is an essential part of the progress that can be made with each child and is emphasized throughout the program.
